System Engineer

In this role, you will take ownership of system requirements, specifications, and integration for a novel ophthalmic robotic platform, working hands-on across strong multidisciplinary interfaces including software, hardware, electronics, and mechanics. This is a unique opportunity for someone motivated to help shape the next generation of hyper-precision robotic surgery systems and play a key role in bringing advanced robotic manipulation technologies into real-world clinical impact.

Requirements

  • BSc in System, Electrical, Electro-optical, Mechanical, Aeronautics or Computer Engineering from a leading university. Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in development of multi-disciplinary devices.
  • 3+ years of experience in system engineering role within the medical device or defense industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Medical Device Compliance and Medical standards (60601, 62304, 14971, 13485 etc.) – advantage.
  • Experience with Medical Regulatory submissions – advantage.
  • Interpersonal skills and excellent teamwork - the ability to meet technical as well as human challenges.
  • Fluent in technical English – verbal & written.
  • Ability to self-manage and lead technically.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies.
  • Good documentation skills.
